Lest we forget

Sunday, November 4th. 2012 at St John Dixie



This morning at around ten thirty a.m. the parade started from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 582 at 456 Hensall Circle and all the participants marched to St. Johns Cemetery, where the ceremony was held. The most encouraging aspect of today's event is the tremendous responded from the children and their parents. The number of children and adults coming to show their support for our heroes and veterans were almost par.

All three level of government officials were on hand to show their support. MP Lizon Wladyslaw of Mississauga East - Cooksville, MPP Dipika Dameria Mississauga East - Cooksville and Mayor Hazel McCallion gave thank to the crowd for their support and the important to remember those who scarify so much for our liberty, freedom and peace. The ceremony ended with the laying of the wreaths and poppies at the Cenotaph.

Fifth Annual South Asian MidWeek Awards

Tonight the who is who of Bollygta is in The Grand Victorian Convention Centre, at ,Radisson Plaza Hotel, 175 Derry Road East, Mississauga, Ontario to showcase as well as to honoured the achievements of South Asian Canadians and who have done tremendous work at all level of  professionalism and community services. Among this year recipient is Mr. Fauja Singh the famous centennial marathon runner who was inducted for the CIBC Midweek South Asian Sher-E Punjab Award.  The event was hosted by Mississauga famous master of ceremony and Rogers TV Station Manager, Mr. Jake Dheer and Ms. Surbhi Guleria, Host of Badhai Ho on Omni TV.

According to Mr. Yudhvir Jaswal, CEO and Chief Editor of Midweek tonight event, “We are very excited to honor the extraordinary South Asian for their excellence. The winners exemplify the talent of today’s South Asian community and are the inspiration for the achievers of tomorrow,”. 

Mr. Jason T. Kenney, PC, MP is Canada's current Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism. He has represented the riding of Calgary Southeast in the Canadian House of Commons since 1997 was the honour guest at tonight event as well as the City of Brampton Mayor, Mayor Susan Fennel.

Halloween in Mississauga at Edenrose garden Community

October 31st. 2012


As the darkness fall the street start to be crowded by little creatures of the night follow closely by their parent many also in dress for the night with umbrellas on hand to shield them and their little one from the rain. Not to be outdone by others neighbourhood this family in White Clover Road, Mississauga cleverly and skillfully dressed his house for the night. The young man of the house known as Mike was    busy handing out little treats to visitors to his house. Not every house on the street were covered with Halloween theme but a few were in the spirits making the street fun.
