Mayor Hazel win her 12th term

Last night was certainly a sweet victory for Canada's oldest mayor, Hazel McCallion of Mississauga who celebrated her success, with her supporters at Vic Johnson Area in Mississauga.  McCallion said "I will tell you that I am going to work as hard as I have for the last 33 years. Over the next four years, we have wonderful challenges." The top  challenge for her and her newly elected council would be the implementation of the city's people strategic plan, which will map out how the residents want the city to look in the 21st  century.

Mississauga Chinese Business Association Annual Mayor BBQ

September 5th 2010
MCBA 2010 annual Mayor BBQ, Sept. 05th 2010

The weather was perfect for BBQ. A slight overcast but no rain. As the directors from MCBA arrived at the Mayor's house the roast pig was already on the BBQ for hours. This is my first year at the Mayor backyard BBQ and I find it an interesting mix of business and pleasure.

The Honorary President of the Mississauga Chinese Business Association Mr. Victor Oh, thank our Mayor on behalf of the association for allowing them to use her backyard for the event. In return our Mayor Hazel thank and encourage the Chinese business community for choosing Mississauga and keeping our economy a success.
