After twenty six years the first local Chinese business leader was inducted into the Community Living Mississauga's (CLM) annual tribute dinner at Mississauga Convention Centre located at 75 Derry Road West, while raising approximately one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars to help the intellectually challenged children to have a chance to go to summer camp. This year guest of honor is Mr. Victor Oh the current honorary President of the Mississauga Chinese Business association and Vice Chair for SafeCity Mississauga.
Mr. Victor Oh who migrated from Singapore to Canada has for many years dedicated his life serving the community. "This is truly a great honor, and I feel so proud," a humble Mr. Oh said, "It is an honor for not only me but the entire community. If you live in this country, you get involved, and this tribute is something I never expected."
Mayor Hazel McCallion thanked Mr. Oh for his contribution to the business community in Mississauga and his skillful integration for the Chinese community into the mainstream Mississauga. “Victor’s a great resident of Mississauga,” Mayor Hazel McCallion said. “He’s a great community person and he’s a major contributor to crime prevention. He is just a great person.”
