David Cronenberg’s “A Dangerous Method”, staring Michael Fassbender, Viggo Mortensen and Kiera Knighty is one of the many films selected to headline this year’s Mississauga Independent Film Festival (MIFF).
David Cronenberg’s “A Dangerous Method”, staring Michael Fassbender, Viggo Mortensen and Kiera Knighty is one of the many films selected to headline this year’s Mississauga Independent Film Festival (MIFF).
MIFF is the only festival geared specifically towards the independent Canadian filmmaker. Founded in 2007 by two filmmakers, it provides a platform for independent creators to showcase their work among peers, fans and watchful industry professionals.
This year the festival received a record number
of submissions and is set to be the biggest in the festivals five year history.
“We made a call out to Canadian filmmakers and this year they really delivered,” said Geoff Kolmayz, Film Submissions Coordinator. “I’m really excited to showcase some these great Canadian films—the audience is going to be really impressed”
MIFF promises a host of creative and innovative films. Such titles include:
