On Saturday September 11th 2009 Deputy Chief Jennifer Evans and Superintendent Bob Devolin welcomed visitors to the Peel regional Police 11th Division which was open to the public. Many local residences living close to the police station had a first hand look at the station and had a chance to visit the holding cell in the basement of the station.
Visitors were able to tour the 11th Division and meet the staff, officers and constables who are working in their neighborhood to ensure their safety. This Division is a full service operational division comprised of 258 officers and civilians. The Division housed the top priority uniform patrol, Criminal Investigation Bureau, Community Liaison office and last but not least the Division Administrative group. The function of the Administrative group is to oversee the operation of the 11th Division both internally and externally. This includes, but is not limited to, managing budgets, personnel, liaising with community members, community groups, community leaders and politicians.
