Southside Shuffle Pancake Breakfast
09/13/2009 8:30 am to 11:30 am

At 8:00 in the morning, Mayor Hazel McCallion was busy cheering for the many participants in the Terry Fox Run For The Cure at Port Credit as they started their race. Immediately following this, she headed over to the Memorial Park to help serve the pancake breakfast. All proceeds from the pancake breakfast (and from all the other Southside Shuffle events) benefit the Credit Valley and Trillium Hospitals .

Mr. Mike Bullard and Mr. Victor Oh (Vice Chair SafeCity Mississauga) were on hand to lead a group of volunteers who flipped pancakes to feed the hordes of hungry jazz lovers who were there to enjoy the festivities.

This year’s pancake breakfast raised approximately $2,500. Tickets for the breakfast were $5.00 each. While the pancakes were being served, the Ambience singers directed by Danny McErlain were serenading the crowd with their beautiful choral music on the South Stage.
